On 21 March 2012, Old Mutual plc, the ultimate parent company of Skandia Fund Management (Ireland) Ltd (which operates as the manager to Skandia Global Funds Plc), sold the Nordic business unit (comprising long term savings and banking operations in Sweden, Denmark and Norway) to Skandia Liv. As a result, the companies in the Old Mutual Group are no longer affiliated to the companies in the Skandia Liv Group.

Skandia Investment Group is an investment research and management division within the Skandia Group which brings together all of Skandia's research, analysis, portfolio management and investment product expertise under one structure. Skandia Investment Group is also the marketing brand name of the following companies: Skandia Global Funds plc, an investment company with variable capital established as an umbrella fund with segregated liability between sub-funds which is authorised and regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland pursuant to the European Communities (Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities) Regulations 2011, as amended.
