Skandia Investment Group (SIG) - key facts and figures

Skandia Investment Group is Skandia’s new investment management organisation, which brings together all of Skandia’s investment research, analysis, portfolio management, open architecture and investment product expertise.

Launched in October 2007, Skandia Investment Group encompasses Skandia’s three in-house investment management companies:

• Skandia Global Funds (SGF)
• Skandia Fonder
• Skandia Investment Management Limited (SIML)

SIG's fund companies (SIML, SGF and Fonder):

• Provide MultiManager blended funds and risk-controlled investment solutions.
• Manage approximately 100 segregated accounts of, on average, over £70 million each.*
• Offer institutional-quality single-strategy funds to retail investors.

SIG:

• Oversees assets of around £53 billion in a combination of funds and open architecture.*
• Enables the transaction of around £100 million to £140 million per day in investment funds and institutional mandates.
  
• Has over 200 global fund group partners and investments in more than 2,000 funds.
• Undertakes fund research for Skandia's guided architecture platforms.
• Sources funds for Skandia's open architecture platforms.
• Has around 45 researchers and portfolio managers.
• Is supported by around 120 employees and supplemented by significant numbers of outsourced back-office personnel.
